Pebble privacy policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
The short version: Pebble keeps what you put in it so Otto can help you. Otto uses an AI service from a trusted partner to understand what you tell him. We never sell your data, never show ads and never track you across other apps. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, any time.
What Pebble keeps
- Your account: your email address, or the email and name Apple or Google share when you sign in with them, the first name you give Otto, and your time zone (so reminders and days line up).
- Your welcome quiz answers: things like your goals and the time of day that's hardest, so Pebble fits you.
- What you add: tasks, the Brain Dump messages you turn into tasks, tiny steps, day plans, focus sessions and the pebbles you earn.
- What Otto remembers: short notes from your chats (like "exam on Thursday") so he can check in on you. You can see and delete every one under You › What Otto remembers. Otto is told never to keep health, money or safety details.
- Otto's postcards and closet: his trips and the things you've bought him.
- Your subscription status: whether you're subscribed or on a free trial. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card.
Your full Brain Dump conversation, reminder settings and a few small preferences stay on your phone only, and are cleared when you sign out.
How Otto's AI works
When you talk to Otto in the Brain Dump, ask for tiny steps, plan your day, or when he writes a check-in or a postcard, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider so it can write his reply. Our AI provider does not use it to train its models, and keeps it only for a limited time (up to 30 days) to prevent abuse. Pebble asks for your OK before Otto uses AI for the first time.
Who helps run Pebble
- Supabase stores your account and data and handles sign-in.
- Our AI provider writes Otto's replies, as described above.
- Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions and purchases.
- Sentry receives crash reports so we can fix bugs. These carry your account id (a random code), never your email or anything you typed.
- Apple and Google, if you choose to sign in with them.
Each only gets what it needs to do its job, and none may use your data for anything else.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data.
- Show ads or share data with advertisers.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting your data
Go to You › Delete account in the app. Your account and everything Pebble keeps about you are deleted for good, straight away. A few service providers keep limited records for a short time after that: our AI provider may keep what was sent to it for up to 30 days, Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase records as the law requires, crash reports expire in Sentry, and backups roll over within days. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel that in your App Store subscriptions. You can also forget anything Otto remembers under You › What Otto remembers.
Want a copy of your data, or something corrected? Email us and we'll help.
Children
Pebble isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Safety
Otto is a friendly helper, not a therapist or a doctor. If you're thinking about hurting yourself or you're not safe, please reach out: in the US you can call or text 988 any time, and call 911 if you're in danger right now.
Who runs Pebble, changes and contact
Pebble is made by Jack Marich. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app. Questions or requests: jackmarich1@gmail.com.
